2018 WCID AND WCIW ACTIVITIES
People’s Creativity and Innovation are key to create the future .
#wcid2018 and/or #wciw2018 celebration
We have written a blog post referencing your story and video. It’s at https://bridgepointeffect.com/how-to-develop-creativity-and-innovation/.
We are also doing a book giveaway during WCIW. The books are:
– Ingenious: How Canadian Innovators Made the World Smarter – David Johnston and Tom Jenkins
– Canadian Failures: Stories of Building Towards Success – Alex Benay
– Your Innovative Team – Gerard Puccio and Chris Grivas
People who tell us how they plan to celebrate World Creativity and Innovation Day can win a free copy of one of the above books. On Twitter they can use #celebratewcid to be included in the book giveaway.
We hope to raise awareness of WCID and WCIW and the need for everyone to recognize they are creative and innovative beings, and to develop their skills in those areas. We want to encourage people to take the day to engage in activities that spark their creativity, such as walking a labyrinth, forest bathing, or reading about creativity and having a discussion with family, friends, and colleagues.
The United Nations recognizes the importance of using creativity in problem solving for innovation to meet the 2030 Global Sustainable Development Goals.
Our action(s) to support Sustainable Developpement Goals :
Raising awareness in business that people are inherently creative and innovative, and to encourage them to support and build upon those skills in their leadership and employees. We hope that an increased focus on creativity and innovation will support all the goals!
