For the third year in a row, Addictlab is invited to inspire about 12000 kids, parents and teachers visiting the Expo Juniors à Palexpo, Genève next week. Honoured to give my vision on the future of education with a fun twist on a 500m2 lab space. Honoured, too, to have collaborations set up with amazing brands and iconic organisations including Cern and the United Nations. Linking all our activities to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. Mixing disciplines the Addictlab way : Experience film, art, design, VR, robotics, education, branding, making, programming, coding, urban mobility, crafts, science, ecology, recycling, collaborative thinking and intergenerational learning. O. And add Fun.
Station 1: Draw and animate your own short film on 35mm peliculle and play on a Hollywood Moviola with Cineglobe (Cern)
Station 2: Play a game and increase your knowledge on the Sustainable Development Goals with a UN delegation
Station 3: Learn about soldering and solar technology, and create your own solar led light with LEDsafari
Station 4: Be an artist in virtual reality, experience a whale passing by in the ocean, visit the world with Google Earth or dissect a tarantula.
Station 5: Hands on wood working workshop with KNOCK ON WOOD Geneva
Station 6: Learn to program your Sphero robot to play mini golf
Station 7: Initiation to 3D printing with 3Doodler
Station 8: Art laboratory including Sand Art, make your own badge, inflatable bag and more
Station 9: Test lab: kids evaluating new kids tools & urban mobility, including the Segway miniPRO
Station 10: Maker space including playing music using Makey Makey
Station 11: The Addictlab Bus. Yep. Our own bus turned into a mobile creative lab for our school visits. You might get a glimpse of our pancake or 3D chocolate printers, if we’re not turning the bus into a classroom, brainstorm space or a cinema.
We’ll have about 12000 visitors.
The United Nations recognizes the importance of using creativity in problem solving for innovation to meet the 2030 Global Sustainable Development Goals.
Our action(s) to support Sustainable Developpement Goals :
We’ll have a dedicated station on the SDGS with the Perception Change team of the UN. Also, all activities are linked to a selection of the SDGS.
